Meet Rosie Tohidi

Rosie Tohidi, Ph.D., joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry as an instructor of chemistry in August 2023.

Rosie joins the department from Hong Kong Baptist University, where she received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. She is a driven and experienced analytical chemist. Her expertise in the fundamentals, instrumentation, and up-to-date analytical techniques make her an excellent hands-on instructor for undergraduate chemists.

Her educational and pedagogical experiences have cultivated a strong foundation for developing courses, lab modules, and rigorous examinations.

Rosie arrives at Virginia Tech seeking to explore new challenges as an educator and apply her expansive scientific knowledge in a new environment.
