Aaron Geller Promoted to Advanced Instructor

Aaron Geller was promoted to advanced instructor in June 2023 by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors.

Geller has rightfully earned a reputation as an engaging and accessible instructor who eloquently explains even the most challenging concepts while demonstrating the most profound care for his students.

"Dr. Geller has excelled in all areas of our mission–teaching, research/scholarship, and service. He is a standout in the classroom with high evaluations by students and has made significant contributions to pedagogical practice surrounding online instruction. We are fortunate to have Dr. Geller as an instructor in our department," said Department of Chemistry Chair Amanda Morris.

Geller was awarded the Department of Chemistry's Jimmy W. Viers Teaching Award in May 2023. The award, established by E. Gary Cook, is presented annually to a faculty member in recognition of outstanding teaching.
