Graduate student Xiaozhou Yang receives Sigma Xi Award

(May 5, 2022) Xiaozhou Yang, a Ph.D. candidate advised by Amanda Morris, has been named a recipient of a Sigma Xi award. Sigma Xi, the scientific research honor society, works to provide both undergraduate and graduate level students with valuable educational experiences. The awards were sponsored by the Waste Policy Institute and provided outstanding undergraduate and graduate student researchers with a total of $2,000 across the 2022–23 academic year. Awardees presented their research at a poster session at the Sigma Xi Spring Reception and Induction Ceremony on May 4th where they were also inducted into the society. Xiaozhou’s research in the Amanda Morris lab focuses on understanding the fundamental properties and exploring the novel applications of MOF-polymer composites. Congratulations, Xiaozhou!
