(August 15, 2018) Professor Webster Santos, along with collaborator Prof. Kyle Hoehn in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Virginia, received a $400K grant from the Virginia Biosciences Health Research Corporation (VBHRC) with $800K in matching funds from Contiuum Biosciences. The grant and the matching funds will support Santos and Hoehn's research to develop drugs to treat nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a type of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
