(May 4, 2020) Ann Marie May (B.S. ‘19) was selected for the 2020 Department of Defense National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship (NDSEG). The program was established in 1989 by Congress and supported by the United States Army, Navy, and Air Force. The highly selective fellowship provides recipients with three years of support including tuition, fees, and a monthly stipend. May, who recently completed her bachelor’s degree last spring, is now a first-year graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There, her research will focus on exploring ligand-to-metal charge transfer excited states to trigger proton-coupled electron transfer and other photochemical reactions under Professor Jillian Dempsey. Congratulations, Ann Marie!
