(Septeber 8, 2020) Assistant professor Feng Lin and his group have published a study in Nature Catalysis titled, "Phase segregation reversibility in mixed-metal hydroxide water oxidation catalysts”, which details a new method of splitting water molecules. Catalysts commonly used are effective but highly reactive and therefore have a short lifespan. The Lin lab has found a new way to reassemble the catalyst and allow the reaction to continue, making a significant step towards a sustainable future.
