(May 12, 2022) Associate professor Feng Lin and his lab were part of a collaborative team including researchers from Purdue University and the Department of Energy’s SLAC National Accelerator Lab that recently published a paper in Science. The paper, titled, “Dynamics of particle network in composite battery cathodes” unveiled new research on the evolution and design of particle networks in a lithium-ion battery. The research is critical to understanding how household batteries, including those used in electric vehicles, degrade over time and will be instrumental in building better, longer lasting batteries for the future.
