(June 16, 2022) Associate professor Feng Lin has been awarded the Electrochemical Society (ECS) Battery Division’s Early Career Award, sponsored by Neware Technology Limited. The award, established in 2020, recognizes and supports early career professionals in battery and fuel cell science. Recipients are selected based on the importance of their research and exceptional promise in leadership, advocacy and research. The award’s intent is to recognize recent achievements or contributions to the field that can be expected to have an impact on future research and development. The award will be presented at the 242nd Electrochemical Society national meeting in October where Lin will also give an award lecture. Lin's most recent battery research has been focused on designing novel materials and chemical processes that can improve the affordability, convenience, reliability and safety of electric vehicle batteries.
