VT Chemistry Analytical Services is excited to announce the installation of the Physical Electronics Genesis X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer (XPS), a state-of-the-art analytical tool that marks another significant investment in our growing suite of analytical capabilities.

"The arrival of the PHI Genesis XPS provides another powerful resource for our academic researchers, but also our industry partners in the New River Valley. This XPS instrument will serve as the cornerstone of our Surface Analysis Laboratory as we install additional service instruments later this summer and fall. We look forward to supporting our research partners with each new arrival.”

Nicholas Popczun, Surface Analysis Manager

The Genesis XPS provides exceptional surface sensitivity and spatial resolution for chemical characterization. This advanced instrumentation empowers researchers to investigate elemental compositions, chemical states, and interfacial properties, paving the way for innovation across materials science, nanotechnology, semiconductors, energy research, and environmental studies.
